2019 Summer League Jr. NBA Fall League Champions

As the 3rd year of the Summer League Jr. NBA comes to a close, we wanted to congratulate our Fall season winners and thank all of our girls and boys teams, coaches and staff for putting together yet another great season of the Summer League Jr. NBA!

The 2019 Fall League featured 84 student-athletes on 8 teams, 4 boys and 4 girls, and followed the same structure as years past with tryouts, team draft, weekly practice sessions, and Friday night games.

This year, in conjunction with the Tomorrow’s Stars Foundation, Summer League Jr. NBA provided Desert Pines High School students with the opportunity to broadcast games live on our Facebook page. Throughout the course of the season, the live stream broadcasts amassed a total of 4,780 impressions, and 2,839 views, while allowing for Summer League Jr. NBA fans across the country to watch their favorite student-athlete compete live.

This Fall, we also rolled out a feature called “Meet the Coaches of the 2019 Fall League.”  Throughout the course of the regular season, we have been able to profile a coach per week featuring the hardworking men and women who commit their time, energy and talent to ensure our student-athletes have a place that provides healthy programming focused on sportsmanship and accountability.

In the Girls division Coach Nichols and her #2 seeded Mystics brought home their 1st Summer League Jr. NBA Championship Trophy defeating the #1 seeded Sky led by Coach Rana’. As for the boys, the #3 seeded Suns and Coach Dai’Mar went on to win back-to-back Championships over the #1 seeded Cavs led by Coach Martez.
